What is your magnificent obsession in your business? Here’s mine…

What is your magnificent obsession in your business?

The most frequent question I get from other entrepreneurs about the success I have had in my business goes something like this,

“Emma, how the heck did you get like that?” (that, apparently, meaning successful).

Let’s begin here: I believe that success is having the freedom and ability to make money whenever and wherever you want.

I also believe that success in business is 10% execution and logistics and 90% managing you: your attitudes, your conscious and subconscious beliefs, your emotions, your ability (or inability) to take action. In other words, what happens between your ears matters.

And finally, I believe that money is energy and that the supply of money is unlimited and abundant. Our level of desire and willingness to step into our authentic truth is the only thing that truly limits our access to money and resources.

How did I ingrain those beliefs within me? Here’s how…

I have a magnificent obsession with understanding success. I am continually educating myself about success and mindset, and I do this because WHO I AM has a direct impact on what happens in my business. I am magnificently obsessed with the spiritual journey of being an entrepreneur.

I’ve got a ton of support for managing what happens between my ears. My (count them) two business coaches, Mastermind group, and peer accountability partner keep me on track. I go to retreats, participate in group coaching programs, follow other coaches, and I’m always reading several books at a time.

Here are 10 books that directly inspired and impacted me and my business in 2016:

  • Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
  • The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles
  • The Success Principles by Jack Canfield
  • Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
  • Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
  • The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson
  • The Power of Vulnerability by Brene Brown
  • You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hayes
  • The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks
  • Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton

This holiday season please give yourself the gift of books that inspire, uplift and empower you and your business!
